The New York Prevention Network warmly welcomes your participation and comments within our webinars and online forums. Our platforms are governed by the general rules of respectful civil discourse. The New York Prevention Network strives to foster an environment where practitioners can freely exchange information. In recognizing member’s diverse backgrounds from public and private sectors, it is critical to uphold confidentiality for all shared information, whether written or spoken. All meetings are conducted under Chatham House Rules unless otherwise specified. The New York Prevention Network does not discriminate against any views. Nevertheless, the Network will monitor any user-generated content as it chooses and reserves the right to remove content for any reason, without consent. You are fully responsible for everything that you post. Posting and commenting guidelines for meetings and the website:
  • Language and Tone: Communicate using respectful language and tone. Abusive, vulgar, offensive, racist, threatening or harassing content, personal attacks of any kind, or offensive terms that target specific individuals or groups will not be tolerated.
  • Respect for privacy: Members do not disclose in their comments, resources, meetings or training any confidential, personally identifiable information concerning their clients, students, research participants, organizational clients, or other recipients of their services. We will remove content that contains personal identifier information including home address, home or cell phone number, or personal email address.
  • Unrelated Content: Gratuitous links to sites and repeat submissions of the same (or very similar) contributions are viewed as spam and may result in the content being removed.
  • Intellectual property rights: respect copyrights, trademarks and proprietary information. Do not post any content that infringes upon intellectual property rights.
  • Potential of Information While we will work to keep this site private, it is possible that user-generated content be released into the public domain. Please take this into account when posting any content.

Failure to comply with these standards may result in the removal of content or users. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines without prior notice. Thank you for contributing to a positive and respectful online environment within the New York Prevention Network.
